Introduction

Welcome to Moodiary AI ("we", "our", "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Locally Stored Data: Your journal entries, mood selections, and AI responses are stored only on your device using Apple's SwiftData. We do not have access to this data.

Optional iCloud Backup: If you are a Premium subscriber and enable iCloud backup, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account. We cannot access this data.

Personal Identifiers: We collect your first name only if you choose to provide it during onboarding. This is stored locally on your device.

Third-Party Services

Moodiary AI uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic Claude API: When you request an AI response, the text of your journal entry is sent to Anthropic to generate the response. Anthropic does not store this data for training purposes. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob: For free users, we display ads using Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store: Subscription transactions are processed by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your email address.
• We do not collect your location.
• We do not collect your contacts or photos.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not store your journal entries on our servers.

Your Rights

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

• You can delete any journal entry at any time within the app.
• You can delete all your data by tapping "Clear All Data" in Settings.
• You can delete the app to remove all locally stored data.
• You can manage subscriptions and ad preferences through your iPhone settings.

Children's Privacy

Moodiary AI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
